How Ironic
Guess what I found today? My driver's license... Can you belive it?! I looked all over for it, except in my work bag, at the bottom. Figures...

Yahoo- I'm legal again!
At the beginning of the year I had to renew my license, so I got up early, actually did my hair and makeup, and headed off to the DOL office. I got my ticket, and waited for 30 people ahead of me to go first. I was there almost an hour and a half. But, I was pleased with my driver's license picture. I think I snuck a nice one by them.
But, recently I went to get my driver's license, and couldn't find it. That's ok, I'll look over here... no it's not there either. I looked in all my usual places (I have a bad habit of taking just my license and putting it in my pocket so I don't have to carry my wallet. Derek is constantly getting onto me about it, and well, now I have to admit he's right- dang it!) It was not to be found anywhere. So, today I once again, did the routine of getting ready. I grabbed my passport, SS card, Birth certificate, and my most recent expired license, as well as some things to keep me occupied while I waited.
To my suprise I waited only about 15 minutes, then the lady pulled up my "file" and verified it was me without me needing to pull out my stack of identification info. It was so quick and easy! The bad news is that they were on the ball with the bad photo. This one looks like I have tennis balls hidden in my cheeks. Ah, well. It was good having a nice picture for a short while, anyway.

Is it Spring yet?
Yesterday morning when I got off of work at 07:30, guess what horrible scene met my eyes?! (Those faint of heart might not want to read further) It was...It was..Snowing!! Yes, the end of March, when we thought it was safe, it snowed. Again. It did three days ago. What the heck is going on?! And for the last week we've heard nothing on the TV, and Radio, but "Snow tires have to be off by March
31st," and "Head in to Les Schwabbs for your tire change, by March 31st". Clearly the weather does not know we have a deadline.
But, later that afternoon, when thankfully most of the snow had melted I heard the most beautiful sound: birds singing! After a long, dull winter it appears as if spring is coming again, because the birds say so. But maybe it will snow again, because the clouds apparently didn't get the memo...
Here are some picutes of the snow at our house this winter. It was above our knees in the back yard.

Tiny Bubbles
Today I am writing about one of my favorite things: Lush- Fresh Handmade Products.
My roommate Suzanne introduced me to this fabulous line of products and I have been hooked every since. They have all sorts of great fun things with such great names, and some of my favorite products are:
Honey I Washed The Kids Handmade Soap
Silky Underwear Dusting Powder
Snowcake Soap (Smells sooooo good, only around Christmas time)
Smitten lotion
Butterball bath bomb
Honeybee bath bomb
Ma Bar bubble bar
Godiva Shamboo
Ambrosia Shaving Cream (Derek uses only this for shaving now, and it has saved his face alot of hurt)
I love to take baths with one of their bath bombs, melts or bubble bars. The bath bombs will fizz all over until it has melted away, and the bubble bars make such a huge quantity of bubbles. Not to mention, the great scent, soft skin, and color they leave behind. I've taken baths in purple, green, yellow, and hot pink water, with petals, glitter, even a sugar cube.
Sadly,it can become an expensive habit, so I usually only buy from them about 2-3 times a year (Derek stocks me up each Christmas time, he's such a good husband). Some scents can be unusual though. I've gotten a few samples that took some getting use to. Anyway, I thought I'd include a link to their site. http://usa.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb
What kind of beauty/bath products do you enjoy? I love trying out new bath and body products, got any recommendations?

I lost my Widgets
Well, I'm having some problems. Maybe my fellow bloggers can help me out. I wanted to change my background, but it appears as though I have lost my lists that were on the side. So, can anyone help me to know how to be able to have variety, but not have to retype my lists each time? Thanks so much!

Outwit, Outlast, Outplay
You might not get ahold of me Thursday nights at 8pm.
After a long hiatus I am back to watching Survivor again, and boy have I missed the drama, and tears, and plotting! A few years ago we would go over to a friends house, and a bunch of us would watch it every Thursday night, and discuss who we thought would win, and all the strategies. Sadly, they all have moved out of Spokane over the years so I have slacked in my devotion.
But, we have gathered a few of us together, through emails and are back at it, in our own cites. One thing we enjoyed was choosing who we thought would make it to Final Four, before we knew them, by looks, or professions; basically it was a blind choice. I havent' talked with any of the others to get their approval, but I will show my choices:
Joel, Cirie, Mikey, Johnny Fairplay.
I am in last place right now. The other 3 ladies have only one or two down.
As of yesterday the only one left for me was Cirie. Yes, I only have one left, but I"m rooting for Cirie all the way! At least 'til the Final Four... or maybe just one more week...

Date Night
So last night my husband and I went on a date. It's not the typical "date night", Friday, but we work such different schedules that we take it when we can. He works mid morning, to evening. I work nights, and sleep during the day. So a typical day for us, when we both are working is me getting home about 8am, sleeping with him for about an hour, then he gets up and leaves for work. I wake up, go to work, then he gets home from work, and goes to bed. So you can see why we go out at random days and times.
Anyway last night we went to see "Horton Hears a Who" with Jim Carrey and Steve Carell (we love Steve Carell- Soo funny!). It was really funny, and a good movie, and clean. So if you need a date night idea, or family movie to see, that's our recommendation!

An Embarassing Fact
The other day Derek and I were over at his parent's house watching TV (They have cable! We only have three channels. I talk more about this in future posts) when Charlie's Angels movie, the first one, came on. As we were watching it, I found myself quoting the lines, singing along with the movies songs they have in the background, and in general being a nuisance to Derek who was trying to watch the hot girls. Somehow the script had imprinted itself in my mind and I don't know how! I dont' remember watching the movie over and over, and in fact havent' even seen it for like 5 years!
So, there you have it. Apparently my subconsious' favorite movie is Charlie's Angels. The mind is a mysterious place...

Now what do I do...
Uh-oh, I did it. I finally started a blog, and I don't even know how it happend...I was just taking a tour of the blogger, and somehow I ended up owning a blog! I don't know if I'm responsible enough to have one yet - Oh, the pressure!
Hopefully you all will give me lots of suggestions to make this interesting and fun, and what to do to make it snazzy. I'll just have to add alot of videos, and pictures and links so you all don't see how ordinary my life is. It's like that song "Razzle Dazzle" from Chicago:
Give 'em the old razzle dazzle
Razzle Dazzle 'em
Give 'em an act with lots of flash in it
And the reaction will be passionate
Give 'em the old hocus pocus
Bead and feather 'em
How can they see with sequins in their eyes?
What if your hinges all are rusting?
What if, in fact, you're just disgusting?
Razzle dazzle 'em
And they;ll never catch wise!
Ok. Well here is the start of hopefully a pleasant relationship with all my new blogger friends. Now I'm part of the "IN" crowd! Hooray!
