Books, Glorious Books!

Just wanted you all to know that if you need to find me over the next week or so (except when I'm at work) I will be on our couch, or cozy corner chair reading a book. I am in the middle of two really good ones. I'm reading The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, and Finally just got The Host by Stephenie Meyer. They are both big fat books, totally 2081 pages and I'm totally excited to read them. I have been out of the reading scene for a few weeks because I"ve been busy and I was starting to go nuts. I love having a book that is not just good, but that totally grabs me. If I don't have a book that doesn't just absorb me at least once a month then I feel off.

So, be happy for me, but poor Derek will have to scavenge for food. I"m too busy reading...

PS, I know some of you have left ideas for books to read on my sister Shaina's blog http://just-because-i-am-me.blogspot.com/ but for anyone else please send your suggestions this way!

Hey Shavonne! I saw your blog on Courtney's blog, so I surfed on over here just in time to find you talking about books. My favorite thing! You should come to our book club! Let me know if you want details. I loved The Count of Monte Cristo.

Have fun! I love the movie Count of Monte Cristo...I haven't read the book, though. I'm sure it's fantastic.

On my blog I have a list of books on my side bar. I enjoyed all of them.

Oh, and to let you know...nobody has got all my questions right for my contest! So come on over and try!

I just realized I don't have your email address (or basically any contact info besides this blog--how did that happen???). So send an email to HeidiH8000 at yahoo dot com and I'll send you book club info!

We just finished reading Tarzan, which I know you have read, and then we finished "The door into summer" by Robert Heinlein. Jared's dad read that to them as kids. I liked it...it starts out slow but don't give up, not that you would, you have always been a good reader.

Remember when I use to hide your books so you would play with me...ya, good times. :)
